Tamra Jorgensen Kelly

Tami was born on October 19, 1964, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, the first of seven children born to Robert and Betty Jorgensen. With one sister and five brothers, she grew up surrounded by love, adventure, and the great outdoors. She had a deep love for nature, spending her childhood riding horses, herding sheep, and sharing precious moments with her dad and her siblings on the mountain.

A true social butterfly, Tami had a gift for making everyone feel seen and heard. She was a friend magnet who never met a stranger, always remembering birthdays and making people laugh with her wit and warm heart. She had a brilliant mind, excelling as a Sterling Scholar and carrying her love of learning and hard work throughout her life.

One of her greatest joys was being a mother to her son, Kevin, and later, a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Cadence, and step-grandson, Ethan. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader—first as a high school cheerleader and then as a lifelong supporter of those she loved.

Tami’s faith in the Lord was unwavering. She had an unshakable testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the light of Christ shone through her daily actions and thoughtful words. She brightened the lives of all who knew her with her humor, kindness, and positive spirit.

Even through tremendous physical struggles, she remained a warrior, showing strength and grace in all she endured.

One of the deepest and most cherished relationships in her life was the bond she shared with her only sister, Annie, standing side by side as best friends and a constant source of love and support.

Tami is survived by her loving mother, Betty Jorgensen Jonson, and stepfather, Jan Jonson; her son, Kevin Kelly (Jenny); granddaughter, Cadence; step-grandson, Ethan; and her siblings: Trent Jorgensen (Julie), Troy Jorgensen (Staci), Annie Jorgensen, Scott Jorgensen (Clara), Brian Jorgensen (Tiffany), and Tyler Jorgensen (Jessica). She also leaves behind countless friends, cousins and loved ones who were blessed by her kindness and light.

Her life was testament to love, faith and joy, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel (49 South State) with a visitation from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.

Gerald Worth Hansen

February 2, 1932 — April 13, 2025

Mt. Pleasant

Gerald W. “Jerry” Hansen, 93 of Mt. Pleasant, UT, passed away April 13, 2025. Born February 2, 1932 to Louis N. & Ida Jorgensen Hansen in Mt. Pleasant, UT. Married Earlene Beck November 6, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, UT.

Gerald joined the National Guard after graduating High School. He fought in the Korean War with the Army and reenlisted with the National Guard for another three years.

Gerald and Earlene owned and operated the American Cleaners in Mt. Pleasant until they moved to Orem, UT. He worked for Signetics Orem and then retired and moved back to Mt. Pleasant, UT.

Jerry loved to paint beautiful watercolor paintings, kept busy in his shop, and he loved spending time in the outdoors with family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his children Earl (Kay) Hansen, Gerri Lee Adams, Kathie (Scott) Bailey; sister-in-law Dorothy Hansen, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Earlene Hansen; daughter, Tammie Hansen; son-in-law Kevin Adams; siblings, Boyd, Ferris, Monte, Renee, Burt, Allen and Kent.

The family would like to give special thanks to all the family and friends who help Dad out through the years, meals on wheel, Good Life Assisted Living and Gunnison Hospice for their great care.

Funeral services were held Monday April 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing starting one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant) Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery with Military Honors.

MARY MARIE MERRIAM URSENBACH

 

 

Mary Marie Ursenbach

May 4, 1931 — April 15, 2025

With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Marie Merriam Ursenbach on April 15, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. A devoted wife, nurturing mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, loving sister, and loyal friend—Mary’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and a life joyfully and generously lived.

Born on May 4, 1931, in Manti, Utah, Mary was the daughter of Edgar and Vonda Merriam. She married the love of her life, Earl Jay Ursenbach, on August 15, 1953, in Orem, Utah. Together, they built not only a home, but a life of purpose, service, and community.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her children: Kathy (Alan) Rowe, Robyn (Bob) Norman, and Christian Ursenbach; her grandchildren: Nackole Norman, Tex Norman, Kortny (Edwyn) York, and Tyson Rowe; and great-grandchildren: Caden (Jake) Snow, Javon Norman, Jocile Norman, Keiston Norman, and Paxton Norman. She is also survived by her dear sisters Vonda Rae Poulsen, Diana Clark, and JoLynn Lund, along with her honorary sisters Suzanne Winters and Sandy Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband; her parents; siblings Drew Merriam, Anna May Thomas, Connie Hansen, Louise Kump, Wayne Merriam and Burdell Merriam; and her beloved grandson, Wade Rowe.

Mary lived a life marked by dedication and tireless service. Side by side with her husband, she helped operate their family-owned funeral home and provided essential ambulance service for the North Sanpete area—offering comfort and care in the most difficult moments of others' lives.

Her boundless energy extended far beyond her professional roles. Mary was the heart and soul of every community she touched. A proud member of several senior groups in Mt. Pleasant, Moroni, and Fairview, she also joyfully participated in the Red Hat Society, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her home was always open—especially for a game of cards, where laughter echoed and friendships deepened.

Mary had an abiding love for nature and adventure. She found joy in the mountains, in long walks, hikes, shopping trips, and travel. And in true Mary fashion, she never passed up a good plate of French fries—her simple, guilty pleasure that always brought a smile to her face.

Animals found a champion in her as well; Mary was known for rescuing and caring for both cats and dogs with the same tenderness she showed all living things.

Her spirit of service knew no bounds. She was one of the most beloved and impactful 4-H leaders in the community, shaping the lives of generations with her wisdom and encouragement. Whether offering rides to appointments, lending a helping hand around the house, or simply being present with a listening ear, Mary’s kindness was as constant as it was selfless.

Mary’s legacy is one of service, joy, and deep, enduring love. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and comfort all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W) Mount Pleasant, UT. Viewing on Tuesday from 9:45-11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary prior to funeral. Interment in the Mount Pleasant City Cemetery.

VICKI MOSS LARSEN ~~~ CLASS OF 65 FRIEND

 

 

Vicki Moss Larsen 

October 5, 1947 — April 13, 2025

Moroni

Vicki Lynn Moss Larsen, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully April 13, 2025. Vicki was the baby of three children. Born on October 5, 1947, to Roy (Fat) Moss and Ileen Nielson Moss.

She spent her whole life living in Moroni, in fact, she lived in four homes not more than four blocks apart. She married Milton Larsen on August 27, 1965. They were just a few months short of 60 years of marriage at the time of her passing.

Vicki was very proud of their four children: Michelle, Keith, Ryan, and Skyler, and their eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mont Moss, sister, Myrna Moss Coates, and her two sons, Keith and Ryan.

We are honored to remember her incredible life and to be a part of it.

A viewing for family and friends will take place at the Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 North 100 West, Mt. Pleasant, Utah, Friday, April 18, 10 – 11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the Moroni City Cemetery.

Anita Louise Mikkelsen

January 24, 1947 — February 16, 2025

Anita Louise Simons Mikkelsen, 78 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Mt. Pleasant, UT, on February 16, 2025.

Anita was a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is now happily reunited with her loving husband Andrew who passed on 25 years before her.

Mother of Ed Mikkelsen, Any Mikkelsen Wall, Bret (Kristie) Mikkelsen, (late) Sean Mikkelsen. Grandmother of 8 grandkids, Darci, Abbi, Whitney, Shantel, Karlie and Sonny, McKenna, Andrew; 12 great-grandkids; sister to Darlene (Charles) Stevens and Lisa (Jeff) Johns.

Anita enjoyed getting together with friends and family, vacationing and her daily visits with the coffee crew. 

Anita’s kids all live close and spent a great deal of time with her. She loved going for rides and picnics in the mountains. 

Preceded in death by her parents Dee and Wahnetta Simons; brother Dick Simons; husband, Andrew Mikkelsen; son, Sean Mikkelsen; son-in-law Brian Wall and granddaughter Karlie Ison.

Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary with a visitation one hour prior starting at 10:30 a.m.. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.

Diane LaRita Lund

January 27, 1958 — February 13, 2025

 Diane LaRita Beck Lund, 67 passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on February 13, 2025 in Mt. Pleasant, UT. She is survived by her children Kenny, LaTaya (Justin) Boylan, and Robert (Shelby). Her sister Lorie (Don) Hardy and grandkids; BreiLynn, Alex, Graysen, Adalyn, TayLee, and BreckLynn.

 Diane was born on January 27, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant UT. She grew up in a happy home with her parents and 2 siblings, David and Lorie. She loved riding horses and being involved in 4H. In High School, she was active in Drama and was a proud member of the cheerleading squad. After High School, Diane made the move to Utah County to pursue a career in Cosmetology. She had a deep love for doing hair and ran her own shop very successfully for over 40  years. No one could do hair like Diane.  Not only could she make your hair beautiful, she was also a listening ear to all. She was a wonderful friend to many and always made you feel at home. She was always happy to help anyone in need and made several house calls for people who couldn’t leave their homes. She married the love of her life, Bunz on September 18, 1981 in her parents beautiful yard. They went on to have 3 children together who they loved dearly and were so proud of. Diane was always involved in the community and had a passion for volunteering. She was active in the book mobile, boy Scouts, ran the voting booths for years, and was in charge of the kitchen staff for the Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Association. She was always willing to help! She had a love for bowling, cooking, camping, her grandkids,  working in her yard, and spending time in the sunshine. Diane had a love for life that was truly intoxicating and she always lived life to the fullest.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and LaRita Beck, Brother David, and Husband Kenneth Lund.

LaRaine Wilkinson

August 3, 1946 — January 8, 2025

Mt. Pleasant

LaRaine Wilkinson, 78, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 3, 1946, in Del Norte, Colorado, to Mildred and Rudolph Dominguez, LaRaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. thShe married her eternal companion, James R. Wilkinson, on March 7, 1986, and they were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on November 2, 1993.

LaRaine was educated at Saint Francis School in Provo, Utah and the Home of the Good Shepherd in Denver, Colorado. She worked at Signetics in Orem, Utah, where she contributed to the manufacturing of integrated circuits. A longtime resident of Mount Pleasant, Utah, she was known for her devotion to family, her animals, and her deep love for her Savior.

Throughout her life, LaRaine found joy in music, arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors. She cherished her grandchildren and made everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. Her kindness, generosity, and humor left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. Many will remember her as a woman who was beautiful both inside and out.

LaRaine is survived by her husband, Jim Wilkinson; her children: Marti Estes, Monyka Benson-Landry, Brenden (Jenessa) McEwan, Jimmy Wilkinson, and Jason (Lisa) Wilkinson. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters, her stepson Justin Wilkinson, and granddaughter Kirsten Wilkinson.

Viewing will be 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 461 North 300 West, Mount Pleasant, Utah with services immediately following at 1:00 PM.

Patricia Nielson Brewer ~ Our High School Friend

Patricia (Trish) Neilson Brewer

On a peaceful Christmas morning (December 25, 2024), just days following her 78th birthday, we said goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Trish was born to Pherris and Guyla Neilson in Manti on December 11, 1946. She grew up in Moroni and graduated from North Sanpete High School. She married her soulmate, Lonnie J. Brewer on March 14, 1964, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they had five children, Lesa Edmunds, Christine Schleidt, Scott Brewer, Ryan Brewer, and Karen Brewer. Spring City has been their long-standing home.

She held various church callings throughout her life and served many years as a North Sanpete School District lunch lady.

She treasured her family and was deeply loved by them. She and Lonnie recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary as a devoted wife. Her children and grandchildren were her everything and she was always there for them.  She was a great cook and a talented quilter who enjoyed tole painting, and antiquing (especially for old keys).  She liked Western movies and her favorite drink, Pepsi. She genuinely cherished her talks and traditional birthday lunches with her sisters. We will all miss her warm hugs, gentle smile, and sweet laugh.

Trish is survived by her husband, her children, her sisters Grace Tucker, Doris Brunson, and Carol Johnson, her 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jimmy Neilson.

A viewing was held on Friday, January 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Spring City LDS Rock Church, located at 164 S. Main Street.
