Mt.Pleasant Relic Home Obituary Directories
Both Tudy Standlee and Donna Brunger have been busy scanning the old Mt. Pleasant Pyramids looking for the obituaries and adding them to several folders of obituaries divided into different time periods. Those of you wishing to research you family ancestry can come to the Relic Home, find names in our main directory and see if there is an obituary for your ancestors. Much information can be gleaned from the obituary such as siblings, parents, photos, activities and a little about their history or biography. We hope you will visit the Relic Home and take advantage of this wonderful resource.
The following is one page out of one of the obituary directories.

Pleasant, Utah June 2, 2011. 51 years is an unusual life span for a person with Down’s syndrome. This however was the least of the remarkable things about this man’s life. Kenny was an extraordinary human being. His vocabulary rivaled most people. He had a life-long love of education and learning. He was tender and compassionate and Christ like and he was a dedicated friend. He improved the souls of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. You are loved Kenny and will be missed a lot. Kenny was preceded in death by both of his parents, Harriet and Lloyd, and his step father David Staley. He is survived by his committed friend Chris L. Parry who was a brother to Kenny in the most dedicated way, and by the Parry family, and John and Karen Garstka and family as well as many others who became surrogate family to him at various points in his life. Thank you to all of the loving staff at Autumn Park Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant. He was treated like family and felt ...
