Mt.Pleasant Relic Home Obituary Directories

Both Tudy Standlee and Donna Brunger have been busy scanning the old Mt. Pleasant Pyramids looking for the obituaries and adding them to several folders of obituaries divided into different time periods.  Those of you wishing to research you family ancestry can come to the Relic Home, find names in our main directory and see if there is an obituary for your ancestors.  Much information can be gleaned from the obituary such as siblings, parents, photos, activities and a little about their history or biography.  We hope you will visit the Relic Home and take advantage of this wonderful resource.
The following is one page out of one of the obituary directories.

heart
Bertha (Berti) Olievia Peterson Hermansen was born in Indianola, Utah to Lucile Seeley Peterson and Wallace Franklin Peterson. She is the 2nd oldest of 7 children. She spent her childhood romping in the fields and hills of peaceful Indianola, Utah.

Bertha married Dale K Hermansen in the Manti temple, moved to SLC, and had 5 children: Roger Dale, Wallace Joseph, Nanette Florence (Lynch), Markus K and Mitzi Lucile (Barrow). She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 7great-grandchildren.

Bertha was known for her kindness, patience, generosity and mercy. She was exceptionally strong and remarkably determined. She had a natural talent for painting portraits, writing poetry, sewing clothes, and understanding human behavior. Her testimony held tremendous power. Most of all, however, she was a loyal, wise and genuine friend.
